"Isn't Everything Poetry?" is a monthly event featuring poets, authors and spoken-word performers. The guests in February 2019 are A. E. Sadeghipour & Adam Flint. Following the guests the stage will be open for anyone wishing to participate and share their work. A. E. Sadeghipour is a doodling Iranian-American with a Surrealist outlook. She co-founded the Berlin Diaspora Society and teaches workshops for the Women Writing Berlin Lab. She won the Sherry Debrowski Prize for Best Feminist Multi-Genre Fiction in 2009. Her work has been included in: Matrix Feminist Literary Magazine (2009), Toyon Literary Magazine (2009), Hella Bitches #3 (2017), Seven Countries Poetry Anthology by Arroyo Seco Press (2017), the Berlin based magazine The Wild Word: Dream a Little Dream (2018), and Berlin and Her Places (2018). Preferring imagination to reality, she creates windows between the world and her reality. Check out more of her reality here: awerfjil.com Adam Flint lives in Berlin. Previous poetry has been published by Critical Documents, Stand, Shearsman and Corbel Stone, among others. Doors open at 7.30 pm & admission is free.

Quiz Night is held on the third Tuesday of every month. It follows the traditional table quiz or pub quiz format popular in the British Isles. There are rounds of questions on varying subjects including Current Affairs, Arts & Literature, Science & Nature, Film & TV, Music & our infamous rapid-fire buzzer-round where participants are encouraged to bring their own buzzer (something handheld that makes a unique noise). There is 1 Euro charge per person with all proceeds going to the jackpot for the winning team.
